Batch Valley Design

About

Hi There, I am

Batch Valley Design, Architectural

Simon White was living in Batch Valley in the heart of the Shropshire Hills when he was first inspired to start Batch Valley Design.

He began his working life as a fully qualified carpenter, developing a respect for natural materials and craftsmanship.  This led to a fascination with the whole process of planning a project from concept to completion.

Building on this enthusiasm, Simon completed a degree in Architectural Design Technology at Cardiff University – a course both practical and academic.  After graduating he was employed in a prestigious architectural practice in Shrewsbury.  He soon became the office expert in computer designed architecture, gaining enough experience in many different kinds of design work to eventually branch out on his own. In addition to this, he built valuable experience and expertise in every aspect of the planning and building regulations process.

By the time Simon decided to start his own practice, he was in the enviable position of being able to call upon a comprehensive network of structural engineers, energy assessors, heritage consultants and all types of specialist tradesman with whom he had previously worked.

His thorough practical understanding of how buildings are constructed, combined with a flair for unique design, means that the plans he creates are both beautiful and achievable in the real world. As you might expect, this makes him very popular with builders!

Batch Valley Design was born in 2006 and since then Simon has produced hundreds of built projects, from initial client interest through to final product.
